Description

Whether you choose to mulch or cut and collect, the self propelled Stihl RM 545 VM always achieves a clean cut lawn with comfort and ease. Easy handling and the sturdy lightweight polymer chassis guarantee excellent results. The Briggs ReadyStart engine starts with ease and no priming is required due to an automatic choke.

Featuring vario drive for variable speed control, whether mowing open lawns or in more confined areas. Easy 7-setting central cutting height adjustment. Supplied with 60 litre volume catcher box with level indicator and mulching kit as standard. 3-setting height adjustable handle to suit people of different heights.

Comfort is key with the 5 Series: Consequently, the Stihl RM 545 VM petrol lawn mower features a grass catcher box with a comfort design, with a lift-up cover that makes it easy to empty despite its 60-litre capacity. It also features Vario drive which makes mowing the lawn easier especially where you have larger areas or gentle gradients. Adjust the lever and the mower starts moving at the required speed.

All this in combination with a powerful ReadyStart engine for excellent mowing performance on lawns up to approx. 1,200 m².

The Stihl RM 545 VM comes with a 5 year extended domestic warranty (subject to registration and annual servicing).

Standard features

Easy start engine (ReadyStart)

Thanks to the ReadyStart technology, the engine of the STIHL petrol lawn mower can be reliably started up with minimal effort both during cold and warm starting. 


Vario self-drive

The Vario self-propulsion enables individual adaptation of the speed of the STIHL lawn mower to personal mowing habits and lawn conditions. The mowing speed can be infinitely varied using the control lever on the handlebar.

Mulching function

During mulching, the mulching blade shreds the mown grass before it falls back into the turf as a nutritional fertiliser. And with the appropriate mulching kit available as an optional accessory for this lawn mower, the machine can also be converted into a Multi-mower.

Multi-blade

Thanks to the specially shaped cutting blades, the multi-blade of the STIHL petrol lawn mower shreds the mown grass. When using the grass catcher box, it is then efficiently conveyed in the box. During mulch mowing, the mown grass is directly ejected onto the lawn so that it falls back onto the turf as a nutritional fertiliser.

Fold-open grass catcher box with level indicator

The plastic grass catcher box can be easily opened and emptied thanks to its folding mechanism. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures a high degree of filling. Thanks to the downward-facing vanes, the air is guided sideways towards the ground, preventing dirt from being thrown up. The level indicator signals the correct time for emptying.

Smooth running wheels

The smooth running wheels of the STIHL lawn mowers are extremely robust and hard-wearing. They have been equipped with a traction pattern and directional stability tread pattern for effortless manoeuvring and to help hold perfect line during mowing.

Foldable handlebar

Thanks to its foldable handlebars, the lawn mower can be made even more compact for space-saving storage or for transport.

Polymer housing

The extremely lightweight polymer housing combines high resistance and robustness against forces, heat and UV radiation.

Height-adjustable handlebar

The handlebar can be set to several positions to suit your body height. This individual height adjustment ensures greater comfort without affecting the stability or manoeuvrability of the STIHL lawn mower.

Central cutting height adjustment

The central cutting height adjustment is spring-loaded, which makes it easy to set the desired cutting height in several settings. The current height is indicated by a scale.

Self-propelled

Self-propelled STIHL lawn mowers take the effort out of lawn mowing. The drive mechanism propels the mower without it physically having to be pushed. This makes working easier, especially on large lawns and inclines.
